“An eco-systems biology view of ocean genomics”

March 24-28, 2025 – INACH Punta Arenas

The goal of this meeting is to discuss the implementation of the latest systems biology and modeling concepts for the processing of marine metagenomics samples, in particular those from the ocean expeditions associated with the TARA Ocean Foundation (Mission Microbiome). An overarching goal is to form scientific task forces around different areas of analysis to be developed over the coming months/years. These include analysis around viruses, prokaryotes and biogeochemical processes for ecosystem understanding.

Organizers

  • Damien Eveillard (Nantes U.)
  • Daniele Iudicone (Stazione Zoologica of Naples)
  • Alejandro Maass (CMM & CRG-U. Chile & CNRS)
